Wavy

Hair Type 2: Wavy hair

Bounce Curl - Coily and Care.webp

The stronger the waves or curls, the less natural shine - this is a well-known correlation.

With type 2, however, you still enjoy relatively shiny hair, but sometimes struggle with frizz.

These waves often lack bounce without the right styling. But with just a few tricks and products, you can turn these waves into gorgeous curls. Just drying your hair correctly using the plopping method gives wavy hair more bounce.

Products for types 2a, 2b and 2c should not be too oily so as not to weigh the hair down unnecessarily. Curl mousse provides stability.

Versatility with wavy hair
Wavy hair makes you a real quick-change artist. You have the ideal basis for beautiful curls. The more natural your waves are, the less heat you need. However, it is important to use a setting product to prevent your curls from falling out quickly. If desired, you can also use a straightening iron to create smooth hairstyles from your waves. It is therefore important to have a haircut for wavy hair that allows for both curly and straight hairstyles.

Hair type 2 is divided into three types:
Type 2a: Closer to straight hair with slight, S-shaped waves, often thin and close to the head.

What is needed:

  • Volume

  • Hold for the waves

  • Firming finish

Type 2b: Significantly more waves than type 2a, similarly S-shaped. Little hold and tends to look "untidy". What is needed:

  • Volume

  • Definition and hold for the waves

  • Frizz reduction

Type 2c: Thicker in texture and more resistant than the previous types. Has more hold and stronger curls, but tends to frizz and appear dry.

Important here:

  • Moisturizing

  • Definition of the curls

  • Care for shine
